The salary for this locum occupational health therapist position is £30.05 per hour (assignment rate), providing a competitive income for an experienced professional in this field.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 6 or 7 occupational therapist to take on a new locum role. The ideal candidate will have recent UK experience working as an occupational therapist and be registered with the HCPC. They will also have recent NHS experience and a degree or equivalent in occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Work autonomously, without routine direct supervision, and be accountable for own professional actions.
  • Support vocational rehabilitation of Service Personnel, with clinical supervision provided by a Senior OT and monitoring the service against national guidelines and standards.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) Occupational Therapy service to ensure quality of service provision and evidence-based practice.
  • Support clinical research, participate in clinical evaluation and audit for the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and teaching on vocational rehabilitation to other members of the DPHC Regional Occupational Health Team (ROHT) multidisciplinary team, and external agencies/organizations as requested.
