About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward
  • Implement best practice across the ward
  • Support changes within the service
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service
  • Support the delivery of personalized care and contribute to service improvement
  • Supporting and contributing to MDT practice
  • Implementation and evaluation of therapeutic interventions within an overall care program
  • Assist the ward manager in ensuring that care and treatment is provided to meet the standards set by regulators

Requirements:

  • Active Registration with the NMC, meeting the requirements of Revalidation
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services
  • At least 3 years, or equivalent experience post-registration
