Residential Groundworks Estimator

Job Summary:

PSR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will involve working on Residential groundworks projects and will be based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making initial contact with clients to confirm accept or decline of tender.
  • Assisting in producing take-offs and cost database for analysis by others.
  • Calculating the cost of materials, transport, labour, and plant hire.
  • Undergoing regular site visits to understand the process, timings, and sciences of estimating, including the realization of the labour/plant and material aspect of any given construction process.
  • Keeping up to date with inflation and projected timescale costs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Estimator within the area.
  • General knowledge of contractual terms within the construction industry.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong mathematical ability and skilled negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
