Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Skelton Grange, Leeds. As a Senior Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our electrical operations team and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical work on our site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical operations team and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.
  • Develop and implement electrical work plans and procedures to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
  • Oversee the installation and energization of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) switching equipment.
  • Coordinate with the site management, HSE, and commissioning teams to ensure HSEQ requirements are met.
  • Prepare and manage safety documents, including safe systems of work, switching schedules, and permit systems.
  • Lead the log-out/tag-out office and coordinate permit-to-work activities.
  • Coordinate with the District Network Operator (DNO) and Independent Connection Party (ICP) on connections and switching activities.
  • Participate in site meetings and work closely with the commissioning team to ensure full understanding of the testing program.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Experience as a site electrical supervisor in construction or a related field.
  • Energy from Waste experience is highly desirable.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent.
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS, or CCNSG card or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications.
  • HV operational safety training with a recognized training body.
  • Experience as a LoTo coordinator.
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience as an active Appointed Person.
