Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant to join our team in primary schools across the Swansea area on a full-time ongoing basis.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to deliver lessons and activities in a safe and engaging manner. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of lesson plans and learning resources, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting the teacher with classroom management.

Key requirements include a good understanding of the Welsh language, experience working with children, and the ability to provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with 3 months minimum experience working with children or a child-based qualification.

As a Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Implement Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
