Senior Structural Engineer/Associate

Location: East London

Salary: £58k-£72k

Aldwych Consulting, a leading firm of consulting civil and structural engineers, is seeking a team-leading structural engineer to be based out of their East London office. The ideal candidate will have experience in hands-on design, staff management, business development, client and project management, and mentoring graduates.

The London office currently houses 2 structural teams and is looking to expand further due to increasing workload. Current projects include medium and low-rise complex buildings in various sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and industrial.

We are looking for a Chartered individual with a strong initiative who can demonstrate experience in design, client and project management, people management, and mentoring skills. The suitable candidate would reside within an hour's travel from the office in E11. Proficiency in modelling software such as Tekla/Scia (or similar) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in hands-on design and project management
  • Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers
  • Develop business opportunities and lead client relationships
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the structural engineering team

Requirements:

  • Chartered status in structural engineering
  • Experience in design, client and project management, people management, and mentoring
  • Proficiency in modelling software such as Tekla/Scia (or similar)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
