## Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEND Coordinator to join our team at Childbase Partnership. As a SEND Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that children with special educational needs receive the support and care they need to thrive.

### Key Responsibilities

* Implement the SEND Policy and the SEND Code of Practice 2015, raising awareness with colleagues, parents, and children through regular meetings and updates.
* Ensure the environment and resources promote children's self-esteem and self-image, meeting the needs of every individual and providing continuous updates and replenishments.
* Act as a positive role model, using observation and assessment to monitor practice and promote the needs of every individual, supporting colleagues and identifying training needs to ensure each Key Person has the knowledge and skills to meet the needs of their key children.
* Support colleagues to complete Initial Assessments, Action Plans, and Target documents, facilitating meetings to set and review these as required, fostering a supportive manner and demonstrating sensitivity to parents' views.
* Liaise with other professionals as necessary, supporting referrals and funding applications.

### Requirements

* A secure understanding and experience of implementing the EYFS and the SEND Code of Practice 2015, ideally holding a SENDCO qualification.
* The ability to be a positive role model to colleagues and children, effectively supporting their peers to meet every child's individual developmental and care needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
