Electrical Calibration Specialist Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Calibration Specialist to join our team at Faslane. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and quality in the calibration, diagnosis, and repair of Safety and Test and Measuring Equipment (T&ME) and Nucleonic Radiation Detection & Monitoring Equipment (RDME).

The Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain approved quality systems to meet the requirements of the Trident Strategic Weapon System (SWS), nuclear operations, and other non-strategic customers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and standards.
  • Take a lead role in a team of calibration officers, participating in measurement audits as part of the US/UK Inter Laboratory Comparison Programme (ILCP).

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of electrical instrumentation and calibration procedures.
  • Experience with use and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • IT/Database literacy.

Qualifications:
  • HNC/Completed Apprenticeship in an Electrical Discipline.
