Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and collaborative Civil Design Engineer to join our Glasgow Studio. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality designs that protect our climate and enhance the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainable design solutions for a range of projects, including residential, education, commercial, and regeneration schemes.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver outputs that meet their needs.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of business proposals and fee estimates, leveraging your technical expertise and commercial acumen.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our designs.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer status with the ICE or CIWEM, or working towards it.
  • Proven experience in civil design engineering, with a strong understanding of sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in industry-standard analysis software and knowledge of Civil3D and Infodrainage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to deliver high-quality results.
