Job Summary:

Gibson Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of site operations, ensuring safety, quality, cost effectiveness, timely production, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of site operations, including planning and sequencing of operations, writing method statements and risk assessments, and procuring sub-contractor, labour, plant, and material resources.
  • Implement operational quality control measures and QA processes.
  • Develop work plans, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor the progress of project works.
  • Ensure full communication across all management levels within the project.
  • Attend regular meetings with the client to discuss and appraise performance.
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
  • Understand and act in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Practical experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • IT competent in Microsoft packages.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Effective planning and organisation skills.
  • A structured approach to problem solving.
