About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our Youth Impact Domain, which provides direct services to children, young people, and families who need support. As a Youth Work Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to young people, including working as part of a team in the youth centres, activity-based sessions, detached work in the community, and providing support within schools alongside structured one-to-one support.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality youth work services to young people, including group work, one-to-one support, and detached work in the community.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver innovative youth practice across Central Bedfordshire.
- Build relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive practice and ensure that all services are accessible and responsive to the needs of young people.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in youth work.
- Direct experience working with children and young people on a one-to-one basis and in group work settings in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- Ability to build relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Strong understanding and experience of the challenges faced by vulnerable young people and those with complex needs.
- Commitment to the values and mission of youth work, as well as safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Experience of working independently and as part of a team in the field of youth work.
- Experience of developing inclusive practice.
