Join AM Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency, in our search for a skilled Mechanic Supervisor to lead our mechanical maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of work meets Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Your day-to-day tasks will include assigning work packages, progress chasing, and managing priorities and arising maintenance requirements from operational areas. You will also be responsible for ensuring work is closed out within the maintenance management system, timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters.

In collaboration with the Maintenance Planner, you will develop job packs and maintenance schedules, and work with mechanical contractors to ensure the successful delivery of work. Your first-line problem-solving skills will be essential in resolving arising mechanical faults or work delivery problems. You will also contribute to continuous improvement activities, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality standards.

SHEQ Management: Ensure all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements are met during the execution of maintenance tasks. This includes ensuring work is carried out safely and as per company guidelines, and reporting any accidents or near misses as required by our health and safety policy.

Equipment Management: Supervise the maintenance mechanical technicians, directing them on mechanical breakdown repairs in accordance with site priorities. You will also support projects and changeovers when required, liaise with external OEM contractors, and plan stat inspections and work alongside the Maintenance Planner to plan future PM tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will require a HNC Mechanical Engineer/Technician or equivalent or a time-served Mechanical apprentice with a minimum of 5 years' mechanical experience. A Rotating Equipment Specialist, IOSH, or previous Supervisory role would be desirable.
