Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Aldwych Consulting in Henley-on-Thames. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for a range of projects, including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, health, and leisure developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop drainage, service, road infrastructure, and earthworks for various projects
  • Prepare associated drawings from concept stage to construction
  • Conduct Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and Service Strategy Reports
  • Design and detail works associated with highway agreements and drainage agreements
  • Site audits and feasibility assessments
  • Manage and lead a team of engineers in undertaking technical work and report writing
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree and several years of experience in civil engineering
  • Experience in writing reports, such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements
  • Proficiency in using MicroDrainage and ground modeling software
  • Knowledge of national guidance, such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets
