Role: Associate Director of Town Planning

Location: Exeter

Salary: £50-£60k

Beach Baker Property Recruitment is assisting a well-established consultancy to onboard an ambitious Associate Town Planner to join their team in Exeter, working across a diverse range of projects and sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  2. Lead on planning applications, appeals, and provide expert witness services when required.
  3. Manage a variety of projects, overseeing the planning process from initial strategy to completion.

Areas of Focus:

  1. Residential Development: Guiding projects from early-stage planning through to completion.
  2. Urban Regeneration: Shaping the future of cities through master planning and tall buildings projects.
  3. Specialist Accommodation: Leading on projects for student housing and other unique developments.
  4. Commercial Property: Offering planning solutions for office spaces, retail, and mixed-use developments.
  5. Industrial and Employment Hubs: Advising on logistics, warehousing, and other employment-based developments.
  6. Leisure & Hospitality: Working on planning for leisure facilities, hotels, and tourism-related projects.
  7. Sustainable Development: Providing planning expertise for energy, waste, and minerals sectors.
  8. Rural & Estate Planning: Assisting rural clients in managing and diversifying their land and estates.

Requirements:

  1. Strong business development experience, with a proven ability to bring in new work.
  2. Significant experience within the planning industry, ideally at the Principal / Associate Director level.
  3. Thorough understanding of the UK planning system.
