Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Theatre Educator to join our dedicated team of educators and work within a secondary school in Telford. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching drama to secondary school students and a commitment to fostering their artistic growth and development.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team of teachers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality drama education to our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and innovative drama lessons that inspire and challenge students.

Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience teaching drama at the secondary school level, with a proven track record of student success.
  • Deep knowledge of drama pedagogy, theatre history, and dramatic literature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Experience directing student productions is highly desirable.
