About the Role

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting and forward-thinking service that provides therapy, care, and support for patients in their own homes.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Therapy Instructor to join our Community Therapy Team as a Therapy Intervention Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with patients independently in the community, delivering therapy interventions under the supervision of senior staff.

As a Therapy Intervention Specialist, you will be working with patients who require Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy. Your role will involve developing and implementing personalized therapy plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that operates 7 days a week, providing a high-quality and patient-focused service. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Senior Therapy Instructors, Rehab Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with patients independently in the community, delivering therapy interventions under the supervision of senior staff.
  • To develop and implement personalized therapy plans to meet the needs of patients.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
  • To stay up-to-date with relevant knowledge and best practices in therapy interventions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of GCSE English and maths or equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ or equivalent level of knowledge in therapy interventions.
  • Previous experience working with clients with disabilities or impairments.
  • Previous experience working within a therapy setting, preferably within an NHS trust or healthcare organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
