About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical aspects of a prestigious life sciences development in Cambridge. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality electrical installation, meeting all safety and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and surveyors to confirm and refine electrical design plans.
  • Manage electrical installation from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the client, attending regular progress meetings, and serving as the point of contact for any electrical issues or design changes.
  • Oversee procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring costs are controlled, and all purchases align with the project budget.
  • Monitor and conduct regular inspections of electrical work to ensure it meets high-quality standards and adheres to all relevant regulations.
  • Provide weekly and monthly project updates, forecasts, and plans to the client and senior management through reports, phone calls, and meetings.
Requirements
  • Recognized qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Construction Manager with experience on projects exceeding £10 million in M&E value.
  • Previous experience working on life sciences, pharmaceutical, or laboratory developments is preferred.
