Principal Civil Engineer Opportunity at Carrington West

Are you a skilled Principal Civil Engineer? Carrington West is seeking a committed and passionate individual to manage and contribute to the design of a variety of infrastructure initiatives. These initiatives primarily focus on the southern region of England, with a central hub in Hampshire, occasionally extending to various sites across the UK.

As a vital member of the civil engineering team, your responsibilities will include designing highway and drainage systems for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. It is essential that you possess expertise in both road (Section 38 & 278) and drainage (Section 104) design, along with proficiency in software such as Microdrainage, Site3D, and AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in overseeing projects from inception to completion, including developing drainage assessments and incorporating SUDS in accordance with Local/Water Authority regulations. A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, ideally at the degree level, is required. Professional accreditation (CEng or IEng) would be advantageous.

  • Current knowledge of technical standards.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in client engagement and participation in design team meetings.
  • Aptitude for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
