Materials Management Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Management Assistant to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and effective materials management and receipt and distribution services to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receipt and storage of medical supplies and equipment
- Coordinate the distribution of materials to clinical areas
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
- Process and manage orders for medical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Perform stock checks and reconcile discrepancies
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- English and Mathematics Qualification at GSCE Grade 4/C or equivalent qualification/experience
- NVQ 3 in Health Care Support or equivalent or be willing to work towards
- IT experiences in Microsoft office Suite, particularly email/excel and spreadsheets
- Theatre Supplies Experience
- Working knowledge of recognised Electronic Materials Management Systems including Web Basket and Electronic Demand Capture interface links within NHS Supply chain
- Application of stock control software and stock review including supply chain evaluations, including interpretation of RIU reports (Back up Reports)
- Motivated, Innovative, receptive to change
- Excellent Customer Care Services Skills
- Excellent communication and team working skills both written and verbal
