About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a leading global FMCG business, we are well-established in the market for our market-leading products that are used by millions of people every day.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key role in ensuring the materials within our manufacturing site are safe, approved, and monitored. You will work closely with our Technical Manager to drive performance and collaborate with other sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the business's raw material portfolio, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Manage a team of 4 with a larger team of indirect reports, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Develop and implement a robust and audit-ready raw materials management system, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPD, procurement, process development, operational, planning, and quality teams, to ensure effective raw material management.
  5. Develop and grow the raw materials team to meet the demand of the business, now and in the future.

Key Skills and Experience Required

– Minimum of 2 years experience working with Raw Materials, ideally within food manufacturing
– Experience in managing or supervising teams
– Ability to communicate with Internal and External Senior Stakeholders
– Experience with requirements for BRC and customer standards
– Excellent knowledge of MS Office
