Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduling Manager to join our team at Wood PLC. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and reporting of accurate project schedules and plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and plans, ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy and in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure schedules and plans are documented and auditable, and that project schedules and plans are maintained and issued in a controlled manner.
  • Supervise and manage the Planning team, delegating work, reviewing work output, providing guidance and support, and managing the development of Planning team members.
  • Act as the focal point for all aspects of planning support to the project team and client, managing communications interfaces essential for the delivery of the Planning team.
  • Identify areas of best practice and drive continuous improvement within the Planning team.
Requirements
  • Typically requires an ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • Relevant scheduling/planning experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques, including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling.
  • Advanced understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced ability to develop project schedules and plans.
  • Excellent understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Significant prior experience in a senior planning role.
