Job Title: Commis Chef

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our team at Graduate Hotels. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our senior chefs in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior chefs in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Develop your culinary skills and knowledge of classic cookery and seasonal British ingredients.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Participate in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, adhering to our high standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Basic understanding and willingness to learn classic cookery and seasonal British ingredients.
  • Good, demonstratable knife skills.
  • Thorough understanding of kitchen etiquette and practice, such as lack of wastage, cleanliness, and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn and develop – we can teach people to cook as long as they have the right attitude.
  • Level 2 food safety.
  • An unrelenting pursuit of quality within all aspects of the kitchen.
