About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Assistant to join our team in Waltham Forest, London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in speech and language development and be able to work effectively with children, parents, and teachers.

As a Speech and Language Assistant, you will provide support to students who require additional help with their communication skills. You will work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assess and identify students who require additional support with their communication skills
  • To develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address specific student needs
  • To work collaboratively with the class teacher to plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students

Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • A strong background in speech and language development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
