We are seeking a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Dams and Hydropower team in Edinburgh, as part of our 2025 Graduate Programme.

About the Role

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop your expertise in civil engineering within a creative and innovative environment. Our team's work encompasses all aspects of project development, from feasibility studies through to concept and detailed design, as well as site support during construction.

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in developing skills across the water-based natural environment, including hydrology, river and reservoir flood modelling, and system hydraulics. Key areas of focus include:

  • Water Power & Dams: new build/refurbishment of hydro power stations, Dam inspections
  • Waste & Generation: energy from waste plants, hydrogen systems
  • Transmission & Distribution: HV electrical power system, substations, overhead lines
  • Minerals and Resources: work for quarries and landfill assets

You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, such as Dunbar ERF and Coire Glas Pumped Hydro for SSE, and gain great client exposure and professional development.

What We Offer
