Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a SEND setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day-to-day running of the class. Your responsibilities will include supporting children during lessons and school activities, managing pupils' personalised learning based on their individual needs, and delivering 1:1 or small group activities. You will also be responsible for collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment and providing physical management and care of pupils.

Requirements:

* Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable.
* Experience within a sector with transferrable skills may also be considered.
* Have experience working with young people.
* Be highly organised with excellent communication skills.
* Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children.
* Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND.
* Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential).
