We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Archaeologist to join our team at Wardell Armstrong LLP. As a key member of our Archaeology team, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork operations, including site evaluations and excavations, in various locations across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in archaeology or a related field and possess at least 3 months of experience working on commercial archaeological sites. A driving license is also essential, as you will be required to travel frequently between sites. We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
As a Field Archaeologist with Wardell Armstrong, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from large-scale evaluations to excavations, and geophysics projects. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing paper-based field recording systems and digital recording systems where applicable.
In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
