Full-time Accountant for Wimbledon Park Co-operative

Wimbledon Park Co-operative is a non-profit organisation seeking an experienced accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering financial services to residents on Wimbledon Park Estate, working closely with the Treasurer and Chair to ensure the organisation's financial obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit quarterly management accounts, including expenditure against income and budget
  • Calculate pay for staff, including pension contributions, and update Sage 50 with transactions
  • Reconcile Sage 50 information with bank statements
  • Prepare invoices for the Co-operative, including purchase orders when applicable
  • Calculate quarterly returns for HMRC, including value added tax
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and presentations to shareholders
  • Work with Wandsworth Council to provide data for leaseholder bills
  • Calculate corporation tax, if applicable
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage
  • Experience with bookkeeping and payroll processing
  • Strong background in financial management and financial accounting
  • Ability to mentor team members in accounting practices
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes

As a full-time employee, you will enjoy a competitive salary, company pension, and on-site parking. This is a permanent position with a three-year contract, starting a month after the successful handover. Work from home and enjoy a 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
