About the Role

The Chair of the AFC Wimbledon PLC Board will be accountable to the PLC board and report to the Dons Trust Board. This position requires significant leadership experience in high-performance environments, with a proven track record of mentoring and supporting senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of governance and performance against strategy, with the ability to provide guidance and strategic insight to foster professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular contact with the chair of the Dons Trust and the two other Dons Trust representatives on the AFCW PLC board to understand their views on governance and performance against strategy.
  • Significant leadership experience in high-performance environments.
  • Mentoring and supporting senior leadership, providing guidance and strategic insight to foster professional development.
  • Participating in a minimum of six evening meetings per year.
  • Making regular appearances at home games.
