Occupational Therapist

The Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their forward-thinking, friendly and expanding Health & Justice team at HMP High Down. As an Occupational Therapist in this role, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy within the mental health in-reach service at HMP High Down, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Main Responsibilities
- Assessing, treating, and evaluating clinical interventions.
- Planning and running a range of therapeutic interventions.
- Conducting functional assessments and contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning and risk assessment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment, and evaluation of an allocated clinical caseload.
- To plan and provide group and individual assessment and treatment sessions within the service.
- To undertake treatment planning, involving the client in all possible occasions.
This role requires a professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, promoting self and profession in a challenging environment. The successful candidate must also be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with trust policies.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- HPCP Registered Practitioner Occupational Therapist.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Completion of or willingness to engage in preceptorship.
