Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Health & Justice team at HMP High Down. As part of our Prisons Health Care Team, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide responsive and dependable primary care and mental health services to individuals residing in secure environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy within the mental health in-reach service at HMP High Down, working with individuals presenting with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Assess, treat, and evaluate clinical interventions, planning and running a range of therapeutic interventions, including group and individual assessment and treatment sessions.
  • Maintain accurate written reports following assessment and up-to-date electronic records, adhering to quality standards.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • HPCP Registered Practitioner Occupational Therapist.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Ability to work independently, sustain demands of working with potentially challenging client groups, and promote self and profession.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £43,141 - £71,220 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
