Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, management, and delivery of multiple cross-Portfolio initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Implement, maintain, and champion Agile practices at the Portfolio level, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Work closely with the Technology Head of Portfolio and Operations Business Agility Lead to enhance Agile delivery capability for the group.
  • Contribute to projects as required, developing proposals, requirements, or other project documentation.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, partnering with the Product Owner and Operations organization to obtain buy-in and sign-off.
  • Work effectively as part of an Agile team, collaborating with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other delivery team members.
  • Run, manage, and close down projects and other initiatives in accordance with guidance from the Agile PMO.
  • Liaise with the Business Agility and Operations functions to engage and manage stakeholders, and for advice and support in producing relevant Change, Communications, and Training artefacts.
  • Champion the measurement and adoption of products and initiatives, working with teams to implement tools and techniques to support this.
  • Facilitate program processes and practices, managing risks and impediments raised by the delivery teams.
  • Act as a servant leader, removing blockers and impediments that impact the delivery of initiatives and team effectiveness.
  • Create visibility and transparency within the delivery of initiatives, establishing necessary communication channels and deliverables.
  • Facilitate ongoing coordination of delivery planning, supporting the Portfolio Head and Product Owners in managing change to the programs PI plan.
  • Assist the agile program in communication and coordination with stakeholders and customers.
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.).
  • Participate with management and cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert, developing and improving operating policies and procedures.
  • Ensure risks and dependencies of the delivery are understood, articulated, and mitigated and communicated.
  • Develop and modify processes, policies, and procedures to facilitate the working relationship between portfolios and other business functions/partners.
  • Support the configuration of Scaled Agile to the needs of the organization, standardizing and documenting practices.
  • Work with the Head of Portfolio to facilitate and evolve the agile transition of the portfolio, supporting teams in agile ways of working.
  • Support the use of product-level KPIs to drive product decisions, assisting in collecting KPI data and reinforcing their use in product decisions.
  • Coach, develop, and line manage individuals, actively managing 3rd party suppliers and contractors in line with expected outcomes and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the production support of products, ensuring they provide adequate support structure to users and comply with all LM information security and control points.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in delivering multiple streams of projects with both business and technical teams.
  • Managing complex cross-Portfolio deliveries with global contributors and for global teams.
  • Salesforce or other CRM capability and functionality.
  • Understanding of the Underwriting and Distribution functions within a London Market or European Insurer.
  • Extensive experience in program & project standards, governance, and methods.
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment with global delivery teams.
  • Experience of team management and leadership.
  • Flexible and pragmatic.
