Funding and Compliance Role

This is a key role within The City of Liverpool College, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating data and compliance risk. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Funding and Compliance to maintain accurate and up-to-date data, identify potential issues, and advise on solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To contribute to the effective implementation of the College's mission and values statement.
  2. To maintain a current knowledge of funding guidance and regulations.
  3. To support the cleansing of the ILR file to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
  4. To undertake regular data checks and assist with corrective action to improve data quality.
  5. Support the day-to-day management of student data.
  6. To manage exception reporting and follow-up actions required with College managers.
  7. To assist in the preparation and provision of data for internal and external audits.
  8. To undertake internal sampling audits and support curriculum areas in improving student data and compliance documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience of working in a Further Education MIS department.
  • A sound knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and funding regulations.
  • Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Current knowledge of data and compliance requirements within public funding programmes.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
