Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors and compartmentation to identify points for correction.
  • Write advisory actions for joiners to fire stoppers to carry out.
  • Manage appointments alongside project coordinators to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide technical advice to the project delivery team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform post-work inspections and sign-offs to ensure quality and safety.
  • Assist the operations manager as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Procure materials and equipment to carry out works.
  • Complete work sheets and quotes via our mobile app.

Requirements:

  • Good technical knowledge of fire doors and compartmentation/fire stopping.
  • Experience working within a team environment.
  • Ability to liaise and report to clients and tenants as required.
  • Experience surveying both fire doors and fire stopping.
  • NVQ or equivalent in carpentry or FDIS or equivalent in fire doors.
  • Good diary and organization skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the fire door industry.
  • Thorough and process-driven work ethic.
  • Hardworking and reliable attitude.
  • Previous experience in maintenance and building environments, ideally within commercial or residential sectors.
  • Previous use of handheld technology/smartphone.
  • HSE understanding.
  • Good communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • FDIS Qualifications (favored).
