Job Summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Welwyn Garden City. As a key member of our data centre maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on building services equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks as allocated to minimize downtime and maintain service levels.
  • Conduct inspections, fault finding, and diagnosis to identify and resolve issues with HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels and company policies.
  • Complete job sheets electronically on a tablet or smartphone to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain site-based records and log books, including F-gas records.
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping to maximize the life expectancy of all equipment.
  • Proactively work to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommend improvements to optimize system performance.
  • Work in accordance with all health, safety, compliance, and local policies and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the Dalkia UK team and customers through face-to-face, telephone, and email communication.
  • Maintain correct stock levels to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Working Hours

Days shifts, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • F-Gas Cat 1.
  • City & Guilds level 2/3 in Electrical Engineering.
  • Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience in downflow units, CRAC units, and split units.
