Care Team Leader Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Care Team Leader to join our dedicated team at VSA. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery: Coordinate and contribute to the provision of quality services to meet the needs of service users, according to agreed VSA standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Staff Management: Allocate work to teams and individuals to meet agreed operational objectives, ensuring staffing levels are maintained according to regulatory requirements.
  • Staff Development: Conduct assessments of staff performance in accordance with VSA's appraisal/supervision procedures, providing appropriate feedback and support to staff.
  • Training and Development: Identify the training and development needs of teams and individual staff members, taking appropriate action to implement plans to meet needs according to agreed procedures and guidelines.
  • Communication: Promote and utilise effective communication with individual staff members and service users on a wide range of matters, progressing issues arising from the communication process where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: SCQF Level 6 in Social Services & Healthcare or other options as prescribed by SSSC, and the ability and willingness to complete SCQF Level 7 in Social Services & Healthcare + 15 academic credits in Supervision and / or Management at SCQF Level 7.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the care sector, coordinating activities in the workplace, record keeping, problem solving, and using initiative.
  • Skills: Developed communication skills, organisational skills, accuracy, basic IT skills, and the ability to prioritise work tasks.
