SEND Support Assistant

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a mainstream school in Wales. As a key member of the education team, you will work closely with both the class teacher and the SENDCO to deliver tailored support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum.
- Assist in differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of SEND students.
- Support students with behavioural or emotional difficulties by using positive reinforcement and tailored strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing information with the teacher to adjust learning plans as needed.
**Requirements:**
- Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in a mainstream school environment.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of SEND and how it affects learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Estimated Salary:** £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
