Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Groundworker - Drainage to join our team at Public Sewer Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing sewers, as well as other drainage-related tasks.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Ipswich/Colchester area. The role involves working on-site, with regular travel required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in drainage work, including installation and repair of sewers, soakaways, and gullies. They should also possess relevant qualifications, such as City and Guilds - Confined Spaces certification.

A driving license (valid for UK) is essential, and experience with small digger operation or towing trailer license would be advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Installation and repair of sewers, soakaways, and gullies
  • Removing and replacing manhole covers and frames
  • Repairing and replacing damaged gullies
  • Completing necessary finishing work, such as relaying patio slabs, repairing concrete paths, and restoring lawns with new turf or topsoil
Requirements
  • Experience in installing water mines
  • Registered with Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS)
  • CAT and Genny required
  • Small digger ticket or towing trailer licence an advantage but not essential
