We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Choral Director to lead our choir on a weekly basis from our Hove venue. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting music projects with people who live with various vulnerabilities, as well as the ability to work independently and confidently lead the choir at performances of all sizes.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating engaging and accessible workshops, utilizing their creativity and musical expertise to foster a sense of community and inclusivity within the choir.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the choir on a weekly basis, fostering a sense of unity and cohesion among members
  • Develop and implement creative workshop plans that cater to diverse needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure cohesive performance outcomes
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment, promoting inclusivity and respect among participants

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in music education or a related field
  • Proven track record of conducting music projects with vulnerable populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with music software and technology
