Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Berkshire. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robotic products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robotic products and solutions using SolidWorks
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely and efficient production
  • Be involved in the final assembly of products
  • Create technical documentation and project reports
  • Update 3D models and drawings
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs
  • Check drawings for sign off
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Mechanical / Design Engineering position
  • Proficient in 3D CAD - ideally SolidWorks
  • Experienced with PDM systems
  • Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials - sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
