About the Role

In this exciting role, you will design and develop cutting-edge wireless systems that enable seamless communication between ground stations and the cloud. You will work closely with our experienced engineering team to deliver transformative laser communications technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing wireless systems architecture for our ground stations
  • Implementing dashboards and user interfaces for remote operation of ground stations
  • Developing and deploying APIs and algorithms for interactions with external systems
  • Defining and implementing cloud architecture and services for new communications products

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in IoT systems integration, protocols, and services, including gRPC and MQTT
  • Cloud architecture and service implementation, including dashboards, databases, APIs, security / authentication for IoT systems
  • Linux Development with Python
  • At least 2 years commercial experience

Desirable Skills:

  • Service deployment, including IaC, containers, Docker etc
  • WAN networking and network performance modelling / optimisation
  • CI/CD pipelines, GIT version control, scripting, automation
  • Experience and interest in space industry
  • System modelling, including Matlab / Simulink
  • AI / ML, particularly for optimisation
