At oilandgas, we are responsible for delivering the next generation of nuclear technologies that keep the nation safe.

We support the government's strategy by applying data science techniques to various national security issues related to radiological and nuclear materials. Our areas of focus include detection of nuclear and radiological material, nuclear forensics, international treaty monitoring and verification.

The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban-Treaty (CTBT) 'bans nuclear explosions by everyone, everywhere: on the Earth's surface, in the atmosphere, underwater and underground.' We contribute to seismic, infrasound, hydroacoustic and radionuclide detection within the International Monitoring System.

In this role, you will gain experience investigating the use of data science techniques to enhance analysis and understanding of gathered data in support of the CTBT. This includes developing methods to combine information from multiple sources, improving overall event assessment.
