Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Principal Legal Advisor to join our bi-national legal team. As a key member of our team, you will assist with the provision of commercial, contractual, construction, and compliance-related legal services to internal customers within Eurotunnel and across the Getlink group of companies in the UK and France.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work closely with clients and colleagues at all levels, and good understanding of commercial law. You will be experienced, pragmatic, and assured, with a strong track record in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and approving commercial contracts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and approving commercial contracts across various industries, including rail-related projects and IT/IP agreements;
  • Liaising with colleagues to identify legal considerations arising from day-to-day operational and commercial activities;
  • Working closely with other business functions to ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and developments;
  • Providing training to members of the legal team on key UK legal issues and risks;
  • Advising on regulatory and compliance-related requirements, including Data Protection and Competition law policies;
  • Experience working as a solicitor/barrister in private practice or in-house, preferably with 4+ years PQE;
  • Fluency in English; French fluency highly desirable but not essential;
