About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Relief Chef Manager to join our team at Medirest, a leading provider of independent healthcare in the UK. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your career with a company that values individuality, invests in its people, and celebrates achievements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Efficient Management: Oversee the entire catering contract to ensure consistent, high-quality food and beverage services.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage, recruit, develop, and train team members, including handling sickness, conducting performance reviews, and providing necessary training.
  3. Budget Accountability: Manage labour spend and food costs, working with your Area Manager to meet financial budgets proactively.
  4. Service Planning: Ensure smooth planning of the contract and resources to deliver exceptional service to clients and customers.
  5. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative/regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Relief Chef Manager who has previously worked in contract catering in a healthcare environment or a similar role. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience working in a kitchen environment, adhering to recipes and menu plans.
  2. Strong client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  3. Results-oriented with a focus on delivering quality and process-driven results.
  4. Knowledgeable about company policies and procedures, especially in line with client agreements.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and email.
