Role Overview

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism in a school setting. As a Specialised Autism Education Support Professional, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored assistance to students with Autism, enhancing their educational experience.
  • Implement effective behaviour management and sensory strategies to promote a safe and conducive learning space.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with educators and support teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to foster a sense of belonging.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the field, preferably with students with Autism.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people, with a good sense of humour and ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and proficiency in behaviour management strategies.
  • Agility in adapting to educational dynamics and dedication to cultivating a sense of belonging.
