About the Role
Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in East Anglia. As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing construction projects from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the refurbishment and planned maintenance sector, with a strong understanding of frameworks, schedules of rates, and contracts. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for this position, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from tender stage to completion, ensuring accurate budgeting and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
- Prepare and review contractual documents, including tenders, contracts, and variations.
- Work closely with the commercial manager to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel extensively throughout East Anglia.
- Strong financial knowledge, including frameworks, schedules of rates, and contracts.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Benefits
- Competitive salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.
- Profit-related bonus after 12 months, with potential earnings up to £15,000.
