Ecologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist Specialist to join our team in the East of England. As a key member of our Ecology team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients in the utilities and infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct ecological surveys and assessments, including baseline habitat surveys and habitat condition assessments
- Author ecological reports, including PEAs, ECIAs, EIAs, HRAs, BNGs, LEMPs, and CEMPs
- Design and lead specialist ecological surveys throughout the East of England
- Implement site-based mitigation, including Ecological Clerk of Works and protected species translocations
- Assist in the procurement and management of ecological fieldwork and mitigation through our sub-consultant network
- Assist in the preparation of fee proposals, tenders, and management of project finances
- BSc and/or MSc degree in Ecology or closely related subject
- CIEEM membership
- Sound knowledge of the UK planning system and environmental legislation
- Competent in UK Habitat Classification and habitat condition assessments
- Protected species survey licence (great crested newts and bats highly desirable)
