Audit and Accounts Opportunity

AJ Chambers is seeking a skilled Audit and Accounts professional to join their team in Eastbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and accounts senior reporting to managers and, in some instances, directly to partners.
  • Client-facing role with opportunities to meet with clients during audit fieldwork and at planning/closing meetings.
  • Providing guidance and support to more junior colleagues.
  • A mixture of audit and accounts, preparing accounts for many audit clients, requiring a strong understanding of reporting standards.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office products such as Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Caseware Accounts Production and Audit is an advantage, but training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Motivated, hard-working individual from a practice background with an appropriate professional qualification (ACA or ACCA, AAT) or working towards qualification.
  • Good practical accountancy and communication skills.
  • Ambitious individual with a smaller firm currently in an environment with limited opportunity for progression.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Commensurate with experience (£32,000 - £38,000 for Semi-Senior, £38,000 - £48,000 for Senior).
  • Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, with flexibility over working hours with agreement.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • 25 days holiday, plus statutory bank/public holidays.
