Spire Healthcare is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join their pre-operative assessment team at their state-of-the-art hospital in Tollerton, South Nottingham.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to work in a fast-paced nurse-led pre-assessment service alongside two lead anaesthetists. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing pre-operative patients, ensuring they are optimised for surgery, and providing exemplary care to patients visiting the hospital for surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing pre-operative patients and ensuring they are optimised for surgery
  • Working in a fast-paced nurse-led pre-assessment service
  • Providing exemplary care to patients visiting the hospital for surgery
  • Carrying out Electronic Pre-Operative Assessments
  • Working as part of a wider MDT team

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Nurse with experience in pre-operative assessment clinics
  • Valid NMC pin with no conditions or restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop patient assessment, decision-making, and clinical skills
  • Computer literate and confident in assessing patients over the phone
