Key Responsibilities:

As a UK Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all day-to-day finance processes, including Controllership, Manufacturing Finance, Treasury, Insurance, Tax, and Senior Accounting Officer responsibilities.
  • Liaising with the FP&A team to provide inputs into planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Managing the transition of Kidde Products finance processes from Carrier to a standalone company, establishing a newly formed finance team.
  • Leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls to protect assets.
  • Monitoring and confirming financial condition by managing audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Supporting financial systems implementation.
  • Overseeing day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Providing timely monthly management reporting for UK operations, including support of variance analysis and rolling financial forecast in partnership with the Financial Analyst and operations leaders.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process for UK operations in partnership with the Financial Analyst and operations leaders by establishing schedules, data collection, analysis, and consolidation.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to the UK General Manager for informed decision-making.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations and proactively managing financial risks.
Candidate Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and experience with UK GAAP reporting requirements (knowledge of US GAAP is desirable).
  • Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work and deliver within tight timelines.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role in an international environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
