About the Role
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic Clinical Leadership Pharmacist to lead the Planned Medicine team on a fixed-term basis. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pharmacy service to outpatients in clinical specialities such as Allergy, Immunology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Diabetes, and Endocrine.

We are looking for an exceptional pharmacist with excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills to join our team. The successful candidate must have a strong clinical background and be able to provide highly specialised evidence-based clinical advice and information to nursing and medical staff. This post leads a team of pharmacists who are responsible for different clinical specialities across both the Denmark Hill and South Sites:
  • Acting as a specialist role model and demonstrating advanced knowledge in the clinical field.
  • Developing and implementing guidelines, procedures, and policies to support medicines management.
  • Regular financial reporting, drug usage forecasting, and expenditure management.
  • Initiating and coordinating research and development activities within the specialist area.

Main Responsibilities
The post holder will lead, deliver, develop, manage, and evaluate clinical pharmacy services. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, safe, comprehensive pharmaceutical services at King's College Hospital, aligning with priorities set by Deputy and Associate Chief Pharmacists, Clinical Services.

The estimated salary for this position is £72,774 - £82,999 per annum, including HCA, which is competitive considering the location and industry standards.
